Project Update: Decking Restoration in South London

Yesterday we wrapped up another rewarding project — this time for a returning client in South London. We’ve worked with him before on a couple of other jobs, so it was great to be called back again, this time to bring his outdoor decking back to life.

At first glance, it appeared to be a straightforward restoration job. However, once we got started, it became clear that the decking had never been finished adequately after installation. Structurally, it was solid, but years of exposure to sunlight, rain, dirt, and other elements had taken a serious toll on the timber.

We had to dig deeper than expected, sanding thoroughly to remove the built-up grime and weather damage. It took some time and care, but eventually, the natural wood started to shine through again, and we managed to restore it beautifully.

To finish it off and protect it from the elements in the future, we applied two coats of Osmo Decking Oil. Not only does it bring out the wood’s natural tone, but it also provides long-lasting protection, just what this decking needed to keep it looking great through the seasons ahead.
