He wasn’t sure what options were available, so we conducted a comprehensive on-site consultation to assess the property and understand his needs.

After a thorough check, we recommended removing the existing carpets and subfloor entirely. We then installed soundproof insulation between the joists, laid a proper acoustic underlay, and fitted engineered European Oak flooring on top, giving the flat a fresh, elegant look and dramatically reducing sound transfer in the process.

By our calculations, the upgrade added over 30 dB of soundproofing, and the client ended up with a beautiful, hard-wearing wooden floor that will last for many years.
